GREYMOUTH LIBRARY
[to the editor. l Sir, —“Reader’s” criticism of the changes at the Greymouth Public Library is, to say the least of it, unfair. The placing of newspapers in the magazine room seems to be part of a commendable effort to provide an adequate junior library in a building where space is limited—an effort which no one with unselfish instincts should condemn. The Greymouth Library is not overstocked with good literature, but the librarian does her! best to display to advantage the best of what comes her way. She is to be congratulated on the improvements she has brought about. And newspapers are cheap for those who arc not satisfied with the reading room.— Yours, etc., W. TURNER.
