(The tctal rainfall to date this year now is 63.08 inches). The depth on the bar at high water yesterday was 24ft 3ins. WEATHER FORECAST. The following is the district forecast issued by the Meteorological Office. Wellington, to-dav:— * . Situation: 'East of the South Island a trough of low pressure is over Tasmania. Forecast to 5 p.m. Saturday: Moderate easterly to north-easter!?/ winds. Weather, fair and cold, with some frosts. Further outlook: Becoming unwith scattered rain developing.
