SACRIFICES FOR ALLIES
(Rec. 1.50 p.m.) LONDON, May 13. “When the count is completed, those of the Bomber Command who gave their lives to bring the enemy near to impotence, and enable the United Nations to deploy in full array will be found not less than .the total dead of our national invasion armies,” said Air Marshal Harris, in an order of the day to Bombei- Command. “Countless homes within the Empire will welcome back a father, husband or son, whose life', but for your endeavours and sacrifices would assuredly have been expended during the long further years of agony. No Allied nation is clear of your debt.”
