The morning Stabieford was won by H. C. Hill with a score of 35 points. The afternoon four-ball bogey was won by H. C. Hill and F. F. Boustridge with the good card of 6 up. The women’s trophy was. won by Miss D. Blair with the score ol' 1 up. The club captain, Mr G. G. M. Mitchell, presented the trophies and congratulated the winners, and the committee on its patriotic effort. Saturday, first round Dewar Cup. Bogey Handicap. BOXING
HASTINGS, May 11
At Hastings Municipal Theatre last •evening before a large crowd, Vic Caltaux (Auckland) N.Z. welterweight titleholder, secured a win over Jack Duncan (Ngaruawahia) by a technical knockout in the eighth round of a scheduled ten-rounds contest. It was a thrilling bout from start to finish.
