GREYMOUTH TRANSACTION

Only one case came up for consideration by the Westland Land Sales Committee, in a sitting at Greymouth, this morning, this being an application by A. A. Guider (Mr A. M. Jamieson) to transfer to G. T. Goodall, lot 4, D.P. 291, Preston Road, Greymquth, the price sought being £375. The Crown, for whom the Commissioner of Crown Lands (Mr N. Clay) appeared, valued the property at £2ll, including £3O for the land and the remainder for the building and improvements. Giving evidence on behalf of the vendor, G. F. Shallcrass placed a valuation of £251 on the property, including £45 for the section. The committee consented to the sale, subject to a reduction in purchase price to £245, made up of £2OO for the building and improvements, £3O for the section and a tolerance of £9. At a sitting at Hokitika, 13 cases came before the committee, and consent to sell was granted m all cases excepting one which was adjourned. The applications approved were as follow: — , , „ W.
