RUGBY FOOTBALL
I TU-IVIOKKU W b ATTKACIIOINb To-morrow on the No. 1 ground at Rugby Park at 3 p.m., there will be a trial of strength between Blaketown and Celtic seniors. Blaketown had an easy win last week and revealed strength in all departments of the game. They have a lively set of forwards and speedy backs. Celtic put up an excellent game against last year’s champions. Cobden, last week and were beaten by only nine points to nil. They have an especially dangerous looking backline, which did hot get many chances last week, and their pack will compare well with that of Blaketown. This promises to be a good match between two teams who take every opportunity of throwing the ball about. Kiwis-Exc-elsior, who had an easy win at the expense of Ruatapu last week will play StarUnited at Hokitika. The latter team will be having its first game of the season. The two new entrants, Ruatapu and St. Mary’s, both of whom were beaten in the first series, will try conclusions at Hokitika. Blaketown and Cobden juniors will play on the No. 2 ground at Rugby Park at 3 p.m., and there will b? third grade games on the Park at 1.30 p.m., and fourth grade games on the Technical School ground.
