R.A.F. GIFT TO HOSPITAL

LONDON, February 1. More than 1,000 members of the R.A.F. and W.A.A.F. subscribed to send a cheque to a hospital at Osgodby Moor, in a lonely part of Lincolnshire. It was their way of showing appreciation for treatment received there. Until early in the war, when it admitted both civilian and Service patients, the hospital’s 50 beds bad stood empty for 10 years. 5 Since Lincolnshire built it as a smallpox hospital there have been no cases of the disease in the county.
