A reouest‘ that the council grant permission to the Buller Cricket Association to play two representative cricket matches at Victoria Square on two Sundays during the season was refused by the Westport Borough Council at its meeting this week, on the casting vote of the Mayor (Mr. ' J. M. Robertson).
