[OUR OWN CORRESPONDENT.J REEFTON, November 10. Mr. and Mrs. W. Hughes, Reefton, have been advised that their son Warrant Officer C. Hughes, R.N.Z.A.F., has been promoted to the rank of Pilot Officer. He has been overseas two years. Mesdames M. Pickering and J. Jenkins (Westport) are visiting Reefton. Flying Officer J. O’Donnell, and Mrs. O'Donnell are visiting Reefton. The Inangahua County Council, held a special meeting to meet the District Engineer Public Works Department, Mr. E. F. Evans, to place before him matters of interest to the County, and to consider the question of the recommendations to be made from the County to the committee of the Government set up to consider local body reform.
