MR. CURTIN’S ILLNESS.

CANBERRA, November 6.

Because of illness, Mr. Curtin is unlikely to resume duty for some weeks. He entered a private hospital at the week-end for a complete rest, according to medical advice. Mr. Forde, Deputy-Prime Minister, is not returning from New Zealand till Thursday, and meetings of the War Cabinet and Council arranged for this week have been cancelled. Mr. Forde will probably act for Mr. Curtin when Parliament meets on November 15.
