MINING Associated Gold Dredges: For the week ended October 28 the company’s dredges recovered 150-Joz from 56,390 yards in dredging hours. Owing to the Labour Day holiday the dredges worked one day short. PUBLIC~TRUST Estates to the value of £681,137 were reported and accepted for administration by the Public Trustee during the month of September. The total value of estates and funds under administration by the Public Trustee on March 31, 1944, was £66,788,292 and the new business for the six months ended September 30 was £4,098,845. Grants of administration made by the Court in favour of the Public Trustee numbered 232 for the month. During the month 486 new wills appointing the Public Trustee executor were prepared on behalf of testators and lodged for safe custpdy. and 440 existing wills were revised to provide for changes desired by testators. The total number of -wills now held by the Public Trust Office on behalf of living persons is 127,107.
