ARMISTICE DAY
OBSERVANCE IN BRITAIN
LONDON, October 27.
The King has decided that, as in 'previous war .years, no service will be held at the Cenotaph on Armistice Day this year. The Government considers that other large services which it was customary to hold before the war should not be held. The two minutes’ silence will not be signalled in view of the risk of confusion with air-raid signals, but November 11 will be observed as Poppy Day as hitherto. Sunday, November 5, will be observed as -a day of remembrance and dedication.
