OPERA HOUSE —Finally To-night: “Manila Calling” and “Calling Dr. Death.”. Next attraction Tuesday: “I Escaped from the Gestapo” and “Man from Cheyenne.”

A thrilling film which holds the attention ad interest of the audience throughout its length, to rip the mask of Hitler’s henchmen, expose their methods of horror and smash their plan of ruthless destruction, the breath-taking drama “I Escaped from the Gestapo” with Dean Jagger, Mary Brian and John Corradine m the leading role, commences at the Opera House to-morrow. The picture approaches its climax in a swift rush of thrilling action, with the plotters attempting to carry out their destructlve plans before they can be oveitaken by the officers. “MAN FROM CHEYENNE” “Man from Cheyenne,” starring Roy Rogers and featuring George (Gabby) Hayes, Lynne Carver, Sally Payne and Sons of the Pioneers, commences at the Opera House tomorrow. Rogers, who has been brought up by Gabby Hayes but separated for ten. years, returns to find that the ranchers are plagued by an epidemic of cattie rustling which is being carried on by a young heiress who owns a neighbouring ranch, who hates the West and wants to clean up a pile of money in a short time. Into this situation comes young Rogers, whose ideas of chivalry run into direct opposition with his sense of justice when, he realises that ms foimei childhood playmate is the perpetrator of the ruthless rustling plot. REGENT THEATRE. —Finally Tonight: “His Sutlers Siste.r. Tuesday: “No Time for Love.” Ordinarily the title of a motion picture is pretty much of an arbitrary matter. It may or may not have anything appreciable to do with the story. But “No Time tor Love under which the latest Claudette Colbert comedy is billed is different. It was lifted right out of the text. Claudette’s big heart interest m the film is Fred Mac Murray. However, she works as top photographer for. the publisher of a pictorial magazine, played by Paul McGrath. Before Fred comes into her life she faintly encourages the publisher, who therefore considers himself engaged to her. When he attempts to press his suit Claudette tells him flatly that “she has no time for love this year.’ Then Fred comes along and makes her eat her words.' Mitchell Leisen directed the’ picture for Paramount, with Fred Kolmar acting as associate producer.
