The following West Coast basketball team has been chosen to visit Westport on Saturday next; —J. Spender, D. Stanton, T. Kiely, D. Tunnell, N. Burgess, B. Gibson, M. Tunnell, L. Henderson E. Armstrong. Emergencies: G. George, L. Meagher, P, O’Callaghan. Practice Drill Hall to-morrow, 7 p.m. BOXING. George Muir, of Greymouth, and Doug Rollinson, of Auckland, have been tentatively matched for a return bout at Auckland on October 2. An x-ray examination is being made of one of Rollinson’s hands and if the result is satisfactory the bout will take place. . Greymouth Association is making efforts to provide a match for Greymouth during the Labour weekend.
