Lord Keynes, British delegate to the monetary conference at Brettqn Woods, suffered a mild heart attack, a New York cablegram announced.

The death has occurred at Christchurch of Mr. Denis Joseph Shea, for the last 25 years general manager of the Canterbury Frozen Meat Company Limited.

A London cablegram stated that M. Pierre Viennot, the Ambassador in London of the French Provisional Government, has died aftei’ a short illness. He was aged 47.

Miss Cunliffe, in the course of her letter, stated that she joined the staff in 1906. The resignation was held over in the meantime, and it was decided to write to Miss Cunliffe thanking her for her long and faithful service.
