LAUNCH TRAGEDY' CHRISTCHURCH, June 13. The body of the second member ol the crew of the launch Hope, which was last seen off Kaituna beach on Friday, was found washed up on the beach near the outlet io Lake Forsyth this afternoon. The discovery was made by members of a party ol police who had been patrolling the beaches where the Hope was wrecked. Arrangements were made to bring the body to Christchurch, and an inquest was opened this evening before the Coroner (Mr. F. F- R e’d). lhe body was identified as that ol Stephen Bensley, aged about 30. a fisherman, of Port Chalmers. The inquest was adjourned. WESTFIELD DISPUTE AUCKLAND, June 14. A decision to accept the Government’s offer of a tribunal and to resume work to-morrow was made by the beef shacklers at the Westfield Freezing Works to-day. Meetings, of the wor.'cers have been held during the past few days. When the men be rt in work to-morrow the beet slaTightering floor will have been idle for 15 consecutive working days, since the dispute developed on the demand of the shacklers lor increased wages for working in the knocking pit.
