REEFTON, June 13.
Trooper W. Johnston, second son of Mi’ and Mrs J. Johnston, of Blackspoint, who returned with a sick and wounded leave draft, arrived in Reefton on Tuesday. He was met by the chairman (Mr J. Discaciati) and members of the Reef ton Patriotic Committee, and a representative of the Returned Services Association. After being informally welcomed Trooper Johnston was motored to his home. Comforts were distributed to a number of Buller men who were on the same rail-car, by th? Patriotic Committee. The first meeting of the newlyelected Inangahua County Council will be held on Monday next. The election of chairman for the ensuing year will take place. The Inangahua Hospital Board is also to meet on the Monday, and the chairman will be elected. Mrs R. Yellowlees will take her seat as a member of the Board, the first occasion on which a woman has served on a Hosnital Board in the Inangahua district.
