UNION OFFICIALS INDICTED
WASHINGTON, March 30. A Federal Grand Jury has indicted the president and 11 officials of the International Hod Carriers’ Union on charges of embezzling at least 500,000 dollars (£160,000) of union funds over a period of three years. The Assistant United" States Attorney, Mr Fenelly, said that union funds had been used to purchase great quantities of liquor and furnishings, to equip a night club in Washington, and to pay for repairs and improvements to union 5 homes.
