ARMY INVALIDS
! PARADES BY APPOINTMENT ; LONDON, January 18. A new Wai’ Office order abolished I formal sick parades for soldiers and ■members of the Auxiliary Territorial Service. Tn future any man or girl wishing to see a medical officer must inform an orderly, who will give a time at which to report at the medical inI spection room. The patient will “pro- | ceed independently,” avoiding the J chilly business of standing in a i queue, often out of doors. If a man is ! unfit, the medical officer will visit him in quarters. Another innovation is that two days weekly are set aside for private consultations. J The regulations will end the tradi--1 tional Army early-morning call “for i sick and defaulters.”
