TOO RURAL!

TEACHERS SHUN HAMLET LONDON, February 22. Thoresway. a medieval Lincolnshire hamlet, cannot find a headmistress for .its school and 25 children, although the teacher is offered £5 a week, a good home at a rental of 3/- a week, and unbroken rural peace. It is this’ last circumstance that seems to deter would-be headmistresses. '“The’ job has been available now fpr three months,” special correspondent of the “Daily Mail. “Three candidates have each taken one look at Thoresway, and gone away muttering they didn’t believe such a place existed. Thoresway has a church, a school, a village hut, one small shop, acres of beautful scenery, and nothing else. It bps no public house, railway, buses, cinema, gas, or electricity.
