LOCUST INVASION
LONDON, April 9. The Sudan . East Africa, Arabia, North India, and Asia have just defeated the worst invasion of locusts since 1929. The swarming cycle began in 1941 and reached a peak in 1943, when an area of 2,000.000 square miles in the Sudan and East Africa alone was affected. Russian experts joined in the fight against locusts in India.
