WATAROA SALE

The National Mortgage and Agency Co., Ltd., report on the Wataroa fixture as follows: —There was an entry of approximately 395 cattie, 53 breeding ewes and a number of rams. Included in the yarding there* were some good lines forward on account of Messrs D. Nolan and Sons, John Condon and Sons and Eggeling Bros.; and these drafts in particular met with keen competition and values could be quoted as fully up to the rates ruling at the same sale last March. Other lines of good coloured cattle also met with good competition and, generally speaking, the sa’e must be considered satisfactory. Our entry comprised 190 cattle, 53 ewes and three rams. The following is the list of our principal sales: —On account of H. Busch, Mahitahi, 53 4yr and syr ewes at 22/6. On account of L. D. Adams, Sheffield, 1 Romney ram at 9gns, and 1 Southdown Shropshire cross ram at Signs. On account W. D. Nolan and Sons. 6 fat heifers £lO/12/6, 12 do. £l2/12/6 to £l3 2/6. On account G. Nisson, 8 18mos. steers £6/2/6, 10 18mos. heifers £5 2/6. On account John Condon and Sons, 24 21yr steers from £ll/17/6 to £l2/2/6', 10 21 yr heifers £B/12/6. On account T. A. Condon and Sons, 2 extra prime cows £l4/7/6, 5 fat cows from £5/17/6 to £9/12/6, 5 18mos. heifers £4/15/-. On account J. M. Purcell, 3 fat bullocks £ll i 17/6, 9 steers £9?15/-, 6 heifers £8 2/6. On account Eggeling Bros., 61 3!yr bullocks £l5/2/6, 8 21yr steers £ll/17/6, 2 do. £7/12/6. On account Henry Dehn, 1 cow £3/2/6. On account J. and E. Green, 9 18mos. heifers £4/17/6, 1 cow £3/7/6.
