WHITE MAN KILLS NATIVE
SYDNEY, January 11. Convicted of manslaughter following a five-day trial on a charge of having wilfully murdered an aboriginal, Nabut, at Moonlight, Valley cattle station, Western Australia, Donald Herbert Carr Burford, wilddog poisoner, was at Perth sentenced to "five years’ imprisonment.
“For a white, man. who chooses to go and live with gins and quarrel with their men you. should not be surprised at the position into which you' have got yourself,” said Mr Justice Dwyer in passing sentence.
