Todd to Mr. G. W. Clarke, who has Tavern Lad in New’s stable. TRENTHAM TRACK WORK. WELLINGTON, January 18. Lou Rosa moved scratchily while doing pace work on the plough at Trentham this morning.. Most of the horses were let off with easy tasks, but a few did fast trials. Beau Vaals finished clear of Plassida at the end of six furlongs in 1.16 1-5, the first three furlongs taking 38 2-ssec. Broiefield finished on to get level with Rink at the end of a mile in 1.44 2-5. The first half-mile was covered in s.lsec. Gladynev and Jeff worked over a mile, recording 1.43 2-5. the last half taking 51 2-ssec. Corday completed six furlongs by sprinting the last three in 39sec. Sedgemere ran away from Moutoa Lad over five furlongs m 1.3 3-5. Scottish Dale broke away from the si?: furlongs post in front of Trueway, and the pair did not get together. Scottish Dale ran the last four furlongs in 50 4-ssec. Trueway recorded similar time. Aspen and Tau-uru did their mile task nicely in 1.43, the first half-mile taking 51 3-ssec. Pensacola sprinted home from the half-mile post in 50 l-ssec.

Roianui was half a dozen lengths clear of Cracroft at the end of seven furlongs in 1.33 2-5, the opening three taking 39 4-ssec. Glenfalloch and Greenfeast went over the same ground in 1.30, the first three being covered in 40sec. They were toeether at the end. Honey Gold and Tifox recorded 40sec for three furlongs, while Irish Chance and Lady Lustre went over the same ground in 36 l-ssec. Sir Wina shaded Silvio over the final stages of five furlongs in 1.4, after taking 15sec for the first furlong.
