WEDDING

ANDERSON—CANNELL The wedding took place at Holy Trinity Church, Greymouth, on Saturday last, of Dulcie Beth Cannell, third daughter of Mrs G. Baddeley. and the late Mr G. T. Cannell, Runanga, and Gavin Brown Anderson, eldest son of Mr and Mrs J. Anderson, Runanga. Rev. E. O. Harding officiated, Mr J. Paterson was at the organ and Mr W. Richmond was soloist. The church was decorated with cream lilies and roses. The service was read from a prayer-book. 167 years old, the book being lent bv a relation of the parties. The bride, who was escorted by her stepfather, wore a gown of chalk white net over taffeta. The bodice had a heart-shaped neckline and long sleeves. Tiny white lace flowers were appliqued to the bouffant skirt and train and the appliqued tulle veil was held in place with a topknot of orchids. She carried a shower bouquet of white roses and maidenhair Tern. Mrs Brendan Dunn, sister of the bride, was matron of honour and Miss May Rae was bridesmaid. Both wore picture frocks of buttercup net over taffeta, cut on similar lines to the bride’s frock, W777i tiny green velvet flowers on the sleeves and skirts. They wore topknots of lemon orchids and carried shower bouquets of cream roses and lilies and maidenhair fern. Joan Kendrick, niece of the bride, was flower-girl, frocked in green net with a matching bonnet, and carrying a posy of cream roses and lilies. Mr T. Anderson, brother of the bridegroom, was best man, and Mr W. Warne was groomsman. A reception was held at Harker’s, where Mrs Baddeley received ' the guests wearing an ensemble in miniver rose, with black accessories and a spray of pink roses. Mrs Anderson wore a navy costume with a hat to match and a fur stole. Her shoulder spray was of cream roses. For travelling the brile wore a black costume, with black accessories and a fur stole.
