CRICKET Technical and Marist High School elevens opened the cricket season on Saturday, when Technical won by nine wickets. Marist were all out for 48 and 42, and Technical 81 and 10 for one wicket. S evens, a lefthander, took nine wickets for 19 runs for Technical in Marist’s second knock. Two senior teams played a practice match on the Recreation Ground yesterday. ' BOXING The boxing tournament held at Blackball on Saturday evening attracted a packed house at the Miners’ Hall. In the principal bouts, G Bowman knocked out P. Mountford in the third round of a contest scheduled to go six rounds; W. Hamilton defeated J. Mountford on a technical knock-out in the second round; N. Ross knocked out W. Kirk and Tuck defeated T. Dunn. RUGBY FOOTBALL LONDON, Nov. 21. In an international Rugby match at Swansea, Wales beat England by 11 to 9.
