OPERA HOUSE. —To •night: “Moon Over Her Shoulder” and "Knockout.”

Her husband told her to get a hobby, but never expected her to pick a tall, tan, sea-going glamourguv. The hubby is a “love’ doctor who makes his living fixing up other people’s lives. This is what happens in “Moon Over Her Shoulder, showing al the Opera House. John Sutton has gained prominence as an authority on marriage. I-K neglects his wife, Lynn Bari, m favour of his business. Escaping from a crowd which mistakenly thinks she is going to commit suicide, Lynn meets Dan Dailey, Jr. He takes her to his yacht, and is attracted to her, and she does not tell him she is married. The Hardy Family gets together again to send Mickey Rooney off to college in “Andy Hardy’s Double Life.” showing at the Regent Theatre. The story deals with three dilemmas lor Andy Hardy before his departure for college. He sells ms flivver to a pal who damages a greenhouse with it and Andy is held resoonsible as the owners, as the car is hot paid for completely. Then a pretty girl makes a fuss over him and ’ insists that his romantic behaviour means a proposal of marriage. Also his father’ wants to go to college with him and introduce hirn to his friend the president, which Andy knows will make him an outcast with "the fellows,” blit he hates to tell his father this. His difficulties are ironed out. amid laughter, some human interest moments, and an inspiring “man to man” talk with his father. Mickey plays his role with infectious humour and Lewis Stone as Judge Hardy is inspiring. A new charmer is introduced in Esther Williams, famous as a swimming champion, who is beautiful and an accomplished actress. NURSES’ CARD PARTY. A card party held the Nurses’ Home under the auspices of the Registered Nurses’ Association raised £7 for the nurses’ memorial funds.
