OPERA HOUSE —Finally To-night: “Sons of the Pioneers” and ‘Henry Aldrich, Editor.” Friday: “Moon Over Her Shoulder” and Knock-out.”

Her husband told her to get a hobby, but never expected her to pick a tall, tan, sea-going glamourguy. The hubby is a “love” doctor who makes his living fixing up other people’s lives. This js what happens in “Moon Over Her Shoulder,” commencing at the Opera House to-mor-row. John Sutton has gained prominence as an authority on marriage. He neglects his wife, Lynn .Bari, in favour of his business. Escaping from a crowd which mistakenly, thinks she is going to commit suicide, Lynn meets Dan Dailey, Jr. He takes her to his vacht, and is attracted to her, and she does not tell him she is married. Then Sutton and Dailey meet and fight over her! In a riotous fimsh, Lynn learns which man she really loves. “KNOCK-OUT” Love, adventure and action will be on the entertainment bill of fare at the Opera House to-morrow . when the dynamic film “Knock-out” will be screened. It is the story of a prizefighter who had to choose between a boxing ring and a wedding ring, but remained undecided until he was double-crossed. The fighter is played by Arthur Kennedy. His lady is charming Olympe Bradna. Anthony Quinn plays the two-timing fight manager who always seems to keep just one step ahead of his mealticket. Virginia Field is a publicity seeking blonde.

REGENT THEATRE—FinaIIy Tonight: “The Prime Minister.” Commencing Friday: “Andy Hardy’s Double Life.”

The Hardy Family gets together again to send Mickey Rooney off to college in “Andy Hardy’s Double Life,” which commences at the Regent Theatre on Friday. The story deals with three dilemmas for Andy Hardy before his departure for college. He sells his flivver to a pal who damages a greenhouse with it and Andy is held responsible as the owners, as the car is not paid for completely. Then a pretty girl makes a fuss over him and insists that his romantic behaviour means a proposal of marriage. Also his father’ wants to go to college with him and introduce him to his friend the president, which Andy knows will make him an outcast with “the fellows,” but he hates to tell his father this. His difficulties are ironed out amid laughter, some human interest moments, and an inspiring “man to man” talk with his father. Mickey plays his role with infectious humour and Lewis Stone as Judge Hardy is inspiring. A new charmer is introduced in Esther Williams, famous as a swimming champion, who is beautiful and an accomplished actress.
