CAMPAIGN DECORATIONS RUGBY, November 17. | Provisional instructions have been [ approved bv the Army Council lor | the issue of the Africa Star, ribbon and. clasps, which the King instituted “to commemorate the expulsion of the enemy from the Continent of Africa.” The Africa Star will have priority over the .1939-43 star,, concerning which instructions , will be issued later. No person shall be entitled to wear both the .Africa Star and the 1939-43 Star. The ribbon of the Africa Star will be worn immediately after the ribbons of the prior war ribbons. It will be light blue in colour, with a central vertical red strip, two narrow stripes on the dark blue and the other light blue. To qualify for the award, individuals must have been taken on the strength of a unit formation for appropriate i periods in the qualifying command.! This award, will be restricted to service in the Eightn and First Armies respectively, in the ' period from October 23, 1942, to I May 12, 1943, both dates inclusive'.
