LEAGUE FOOTBALL
BLACKBALL TO TRAVEL. Permission to travel to Auckland to meet the Manakau team was given the Blackball Club at last evening’s meeting of the Management Committee of the West Coast Rugby League. Mr. J. E. Stokes presided, also present being Messrs W. Meates, J. Oakley, J. Anisy, J. Griffen, L. Hunter, B. Ramsay, W. Moore (Junior Advisory Board) and the Secretary (Mr. P. E. Sweetman). Blackball advised that they desired to forfeit the Challenge Shield match because of the visit to Auckland. They were declared the winners of the Knock-Out Competition. Arrangements were made for a match at Greymouth, on October 10, with Sydenham-Rakaia. Fixtures for Sunday are;— Senior: Brunner v. Runanga at Brunner, Challenge Shield game, 2.30 p.m. (J. Griffen); Hornby y. Ngahere at Ngahere, 2.30 p.m. (A. Kennedy). t> Third grade final: Blackball v. Runangtv at Blackball, 1.30 p.m. (L. Kinsel la) ■ COASTAL SHIPPING PORT OF GREYMOUTH Alexander arrived at 7 o’clock this morning to load coal for Nelson. She sails this evening. Holmlea arrived at 7.30 0 clock this morning to load coal for Tarakohe, whither she sails this evening. _ Karepo sailed for Auckland this morning. Gabriella is expected to-morrow morning to load coal and timber for Wellington. Pukeko is due to-morrow co load coal for Miramar. Kiwitea is also due to-morrow evening to load coal for Wellington.
