ATTEMPTED M.ITRDER. CHARGE AUCKLAND. September 27. On his discharge from hospital this moraine', Norman Leslie Huia Kelly, a s-.0/cman. aged 45. was brought before Hie Magistrate (Mr. J. 11. Luxford) on a charge of attempting to murder Katherine Agnes Kelly on September 7. Remanding Kelly until October 4, the Magistrate said he would recommend that facilities be given to allow the accused io be examined by a psychiatrist.

ROAD DANGERS AUCKLAND, September 28. DERMATITIS IN TANNERIES AUCKLAND, September 28. Reference to the prevalence of dermatitis in the tannery industry was made by the sceretarj’ of the Tannery Workers' Union, Mr A. Rawlinson, at a sitting of the Auckland Industrial Manpower Committee this morning. ;-l£ stated that lie had worked in a tannery all his life and had not suffered .from dermatitis. The complaint, however, was on the increase, and he attributed this to modern tanning methods. He thought that an inquiry should be made into the ■natter. _ . , The chairman (Mr J. O.
