WEDDING

The wedding took place at the Church of the Resurrection, Cobden, of Ada Pearl, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. Page, Cobden, to Lance Corporal James, only son oi Mr. and the late Mrs. James Harrison, Cobden. Rev. E. O. Harding officiated. The bride, who was escorted by her father, wore a fitting model ivory satin gown with a gathered bodice finished with apphqued flowers on bodice and train. Her bridal veil was of white silk net, with appliqued white satin flowers and was arranged over the head with a halo of orange blossoms. She carried a trailing bouquet of arum lilies, freesias and maidenhair fern. The bridesmaid, Miss Jean Guthrie, niece of the bridegroom, wore- a frock of pale blue satin. It was designed with a full skirt and Peter Pan collar and was finished with a row of tiny blue buttons from the neckline to waist. She wore a veil of blue stiffened net, with a halo of pale pink flowers. Her bouquet was of pink camelias, blue hyacinths .and maidenhair fern. The reception- was held at the home of the bride’s mother, where Mrs. Page received the guests wearing a navy pin stripe tailored costume with accessories to tone. She was assisted by the bridegroom’s sister, Mrs. Guthrie, who was dressed in a vieux rose frock, over which she wore a fur coat, with accessories to tone. For travelling the bride chose a blue pin stripe tailored costume, with blue and black accessories to tone.
