The damage inflicted by the heavy flood at the week-end to the approaches to the Ikamatua Sawmill is so serious that the mill will be out of production for several months. About 80 feet of a bridge, comprising five spans, will have to be rebuilt, while several chains of road across the tailings will require to be re-formed. Meanwhile certain of the employees of the mill will bo transferred , to tram-laying operations and the other will be given employment by the Inangahua County Council.
