Miss .A. Glendinning arrived yesterday from Christchurch. Mr F. Chivers returned this morning, from Christchurch. Cpl. N. B. Edwards, who is on furlough from the Middle East, arrived yesterday from Christchurch. Mrs J. Mitchell, of Christchurch, accompanied by Mrs R. Muir, is visiting her daughter, Mrs H. S. McCullough, of Greymouth. The death occurred at Hokitika, on Monday evening, of Mr. Joseph Richard Kelly, of Ruatapu. Mr. Kelly, who was born at Awatuna 54 years ago, was for thirty years a surfaceman on the Hokitika-Ross railway line. He is survived by his widow, a daughter, and three brothers, all of Awatuna.
