Broadfoot (Opposition, Wai - tomo) gave notice to ask the Minister of Justice (Mr. Mason) if it was the common practice to demand security to cover die cost of rescue operations at sea, as was reported to be the case recently when four men were adrift in a launch off the west coast of the North Island for two days and nights. If so, would the Minister see that such conditions were not imposed in future? —P.A.
