EWE MUTTON EASIER

Ewe mut+on values eased at the Addington sale, yesterday, best sorts being down 3/- a head and light by about 5/-, though wether prices were unchanged. Prime cattle held recent levels, poorer sorts being weaker. Store Sheep: Ewe hoggets were keenly sought after, ana one pen or 147 good class half-bred sheep made 31/-, the second draft selling at 26/3. Another 164 realised 27/9, and others sold from 19/- to 23/6. Wether hoggets were in small supply, and some of the medium quality sold from 18/6 to 21/-. Ewes in lamb were of mixed quality, one pen of b 6 four-year-old, in lamb to Southdown rams, topping the market at 26/4. Others sold from 19/9 to 24/6, and low-conditioned ewes sold as low as 8/-. A pen of 16 old ewes with 16 Southdown lambs at foot, realised 12/2 ah couhted. Fat Lambs’ One line of 22 from Pcnclarves sold from 33/1 to 47/10 for a pen of seven, and * 49/4 for a pen of six. Another draft of 35 from Waiau made from 38/1 to 44/1. Good lambs sold from 32/7 to 37/4, medium from 27/1 to 31/10, and light to inferior from 22/- to 25/4.
