AIRMAN’S BAD BREAK.
ROYAL BOX TICKET LONDON, June 25. Flight-Sergeant J. R. Porter, of Beechworth, Victoria, visited London for a few days’ leave, and—like other members of the R.A.A.F.—found he had more offers of hospitality than he could accept. That is why he turned down a ticket the Victoria League offered him for an Albert Hall concert. He went off to an Overseas League party instead. “I don’t think I can make it. Can you pass it on to someone else?” FlightSergeant Porter said. It was not until he returned to the hostel that ho found that the man who was given the ticket had sat with the Queen and Princess Elizabeth in the Royal box, and had talked and shaken hands with Her Majesty and the Princess. Flight-Ser-reant Porter thinks it was the worst break he has had since arriving in England.
