GERMANS IN ARGENTINA BUENOXAIRES, July .14. The Government of Argentina has ordered all German welfare and cultural societies in Argentina to end their activities within 48 hours. The Government ot India’s policy 'n meeting the present difficult food situation and the- resulting rise in prices, was founded on the division of the country into regions with a view to the transfer of supplies from surplus areas to those where there is a deficit, the Secretary of State for Inti to (Mr. Amery) told the Commons, fhe measures were not wholly successful, and consequently the Government had called an All India food conference early last month. The conference recommendations, which were being acted upon, included early extension of rationing control of stocks, to counter hoarding, and the procurement of surpluses by the Government.
