Miss C. Douglas (Blaketown) is visiting her parents, Mr and Mrs D. Douglas. Messrs F. Finnegan and D. Douglas are visitors from Christchurch. Private D. Robertson, who has been spending leave with his parents, has returned to camp. Miss N. Horsley (Christchurch) is visiting her sister, Mrs W. PrenderThe annual ball of the Wa.iuta Home Guard was held on Saturday evening. The evening was successful, visitors being present from Greymouth, Reefton and surrounding districts. Mr S. Ramsden was M.C. and Williams’ Orchestra supplied the music. Extras were played by Mrs Ramsden, Mrs Robertson, and Mr E. Foulsham. The Monte Carlo was won by Mr and Mrs Douglas, and a lucky spot by Mrs White and Mr lan McEwin.
