BLACK MARKETING.
WASHINGTON, May 17. The creation of a War Meat Board, whose main task will be to develop more rigid safeguards against black markets, is announced. It is officially stated that black markets are estimated to take 20 per cent, of the meat available for civilian consumption, thus threatening to disrupt the rationing programme.
