OPERA HOUSE—Finally To-night: “Great Guns” and “Tom Browns Schooldays.” Tuesday: “Night in New Orleans” and “Arizona Bound.”

New Orleans, city of colour and raiety—the Mardi Gras city—is the scene of murder, mystery and mirth in “Night in New Orleans,” which commences at the Opera House tomorrow. , n The story concerns the rivalry ot Foster and Dekker, both of whom are on the New Orleans police force. Foster is implicated in the mysterious murder of a well-khown playboy who had been the recipient of flaming love letters written by Fosters wife, Patricia Morison, some years before their marriage. Foster and Patricia go on a hurried hunt for the real murderer, and thereby hangs the exciting tale. Forced finally to' a realisation that she is broke she leaves New York and goes to Arizona to live with her fabouslv wealthy grandmother. Unfortunately the girl’s grandmother proves to be a female Death Valley Scotty who hasn’t a pot to cook with. She’s broke and she lives in a ghost town. There’s an abandoned gold mine (which hasn’t been worked m 40 years) and the ex-heiress starts to operate it on the beautiful notion that people should have faith and they’ll get what they want. Well, two men appear opposite Miss Dunne in the comedy. One is as dally as she. He’s Ralph Bellamy, playing a showofi. cowboy. The other is Patrie Knowles, playing a sober man of science trying to straighten the kinks out of her mind.
