MR AND MRS J. TENNENT

At St. John’s Presbyterian Church yesterday morning after service a farewell presentation was made to Mr and Mrs John Tennent. Rev. W. R. Martin, on behalf of the congregation, said Mi* Tennent had given willing and valuable service as an elder and Sunday School teacher . and superintendent for twenty years. He thanked Mr Tennent and presented him with a wallet of notes, as tangible recognition, also a minute of appreciation signed by members of Session, Board of Managers, and congregation. Mr Tennent intended to link Up with St. Giles’ Chdrch.

Mr Tennent, returning thanks, said he was sorry at departing, though-he expected the change and medical treatment to benefit his wife’s health. Mr and Mrs Tennent left yesterday for Christchurch.
