NEW YORK’S MAYOR.

WASHINGTON, April 6. Mr. Roosevelt told a Press conference that he did not plan to nominate Mr. F. H. La Guardia, Mayor of New York, for an Army commission. Asked if all reports on the matter were sheer wool-gathering, Mr. Roosevelt replied that he would not put it that way, as everyone knew that Mr. La Guardia was anxious for active service.
