CORRESPONDENCE
[TO THE EDITOR.!
Sir, —There was recently shown in the Cobden Gymnasium by Mr Fraser some movie films, which were of great interest. A good audience had gathered in the Gymnasium, and many children occupied the front scats. I feel it my duly to make public the disgraceful and uncontrolled behaviour of the children, who did much to mar the evening’s pleasure. This is not the only time that such behaviour has occurred at functions in Cobden. Indeed, it is true, that even the sanctity of church services has been disturbed. People of Cobden, I appeal to you to bestir yourselves and have this hooliganism stamped out in your schools, your halls, and your streets Let us at least maintain law and order.—Yours, etc., ONE OF THE AUDIENCE.
