ON THE SEAS

ANOTHER E-BOAT SUNK

RUGBY, March 8. The Admiralty states that one Eboat was destroyed and others scattered by light coastal forces of the Royal Navy in an action off the east coast early this morning. A destroyer on patrol surprised the enemy and drove the bouts eastwards. There they were intercepted and engaged by our light coastal forces. A sharp action followed, but the enemy disengaged and retired. Later one E-boat was found stopped, down by the bow. When hit by gunfire she blew up and sank. Our forces suffered no casualties and only superficial damage.
