HOLLYWOOD FILM DEAL
SELZNICK JOINS FOX HOLLYWOOD, December 1 1. In one of the biggest film deals in recent years, David S. Selznick, the independent producei’ who has won many awards fox’ his pictures, has joined forces with Twentieth Century Fox at least for the duration of the war. In the agreement announced today the Fox studio acquires a number- of stories and plays owned by Selznick and the temporary services of several of his stars. Selznick, it was explained, wishes to devote himself to making a new type of film dealing with the war effort.
