! TOWN CLERK’S DEATH ! NEW PLYMOUTH, October 19. i Clennell Nelson Thayer, Town I Clerk of Opunake, dislocated his neck lin a motor-car accident last ThursIday. He died to-day at Hawera. He was 36 years of age. AIRMAN INJURED ! WELLINGTON, October 19. ! Leading Aircraftman John Robert I Tones, a pupil pilot, received slight concussion and was admitted to hosipital, when he fell from an aircraft i during flying training at a South Island station this afternoon. He de'scended by parachute and escaped with the injuries stated. His wife lives at Wellington.
