STOLEN BANKNOTES

SYDNEY, July 19. An attempt by young boys to change a ten pound note at a Sydney amusement arcade, after changing two five pound notes earlier, has led to the recovery of almost one thousand pounds out of thirteen hundred pounds stolen last week from the safe of a suburban furniture manufacturer on Monday last. Six lads ranging in age from eleven to seventeen years have been arrested. They will be charged in the children’s court.
