SECOND FRONT
PREPARATIONS ADVANCED LONDON, July 1. The Moscow radio stated that Britain’s second front undertaking would be honoured soon. Preparations were already well advanced. GERMAN _ THREAT LONDON, June 30. An official statement issued in Berlin threatens punishment according to the harsh rules of martial law against any civilian in occupied Europe aiding Allied parachutists. The statement adds: “The exile governments in London and Washington are busy creating disorder and unrest in their former homelands.”
DUTCH TROOPS
LONDON, July 1. Another contingent of Netherlands troops has arrived in Britain. These troops, who have completed their training in Canada, included Dutchmen from all parts of the American continent, as well as men who escaped from the Netherlands East Indies just before the Japanese invasion.
