OLDEST SOLICITOR DIES

LONDON, December 15. Said to be London’s oldest practising solicitor, 'Mr. Edward Frederick Hunt, has died at the age of 94. For 52 years he travelled to his office each day. He was associated with several famous law-suits. In 1921, Mr. Hunt, an expert in West African- legal matters, fought and won for Chief Oluwa what became known as the “Nigerian Land Case.” The chief and his staff came to London in connection with the litigation. Later, Mr. Hunt obtained for “Ranji,” the cricketer, the title of Jam Sahib of Nawanaga.
